Rating & safety How to read thisThese are the state’s own categories. Type A: problems that, if not corrected, put residents’ health, safety or rights at direct and immediate risk. Type B: problems that could become a risk without correction, or record-keeping problems that affect care. Both must be corrected. Complaints the state didn’t confirm are shown but never counted against the community.

EDIT June, 2026: Ivy Park has careened downhill over the last few months. The staff still remains wonderful, but the problem is that Ivy Park is understaffed. They're bringing in more residents but not hiring the support staff to meet those needs. More and more I'm finding my mother sitting in her own urine and excrement, her bed smelling of the same, unmade. I hope management is willing to hire…

I cannot thank the wonderful staff at Sunrise Playa Vista enough for the care they are providing to my mother. She has advanced Alzheimer's disease but is physically active which makes her a challenging resident. Thankfully, the staff on her reminiscence floor are well skilled and know how to deal with her level of disease. They provide my mother with both physical and cognitive options…

After exhaustive years long effort to persuade a close relative to consider assisted living, circumstances changed and the option was no longer a choice. Several hospital stays, rehab care, and countless professional's suggestions to consider assisted living led us to Sunrise Playa Vista. The staff involved with introductory tours/application and assessments were exceptional in their…
