Rating & safety How to read thisThese are the state’s own categories. Type A: problems that, if not corrected, put residents’ health, safety or rights at direct and immediate risk. Type B: problems that could become a risk without correction, or record-keeping problems that affect care. Both must be corrected. Complaints the state didn’t confirm are shown but never counted against the community.

I cannot say enough good things about Ivy Park at Oakland Hills. Yolanda Harrell has created a culture of caring staff who make residents feel at home whether they are mostly independent or if they need a greater level of support. The apartments, common areas, gardens and view are gorgeous, and every staff member goes above and beyond to be friendly and welcoming and make sure each resident feels…

In the past two weeks my dad has visited both the Oakland Museum and the Oakland Zoo. There is always a friendly, peaceful atmosphere when I visit which is quite frequent! I am grateful for the care and attention my father receives and…

My companion has been at Ivy Park Oakland in their Evergreen memory care for 5 months. I’m am so impressed with the care here. The care givers are kind, attentive and loving. The activities (dancing, painting) and the view is outstanding! The food is good, too. I can’t say enough good things about this place. We highly recommend it for your loved one.

I just wanted to say how grateful I am to the staff at Ivy Park at Oakland Hills for taking such good care of my Mom Julie and her little dog Bella over the last two-and-a-half months. They are unfailingly kind, thoughtful and cheerful there. Mom says the people are nice and the food is good, and she has no complaints! There are attractive outdoor spaces around the facility as well as nice rooms…
