Being on record means the state or Dale Commons lists it. It doesn’t mean they’ve accepted your senior or have a room.

What’s included, and common cost questions
  • What does the monthly price include? Usually rent, three meals, housekeeping and activities. Care is often priced separately by level of help.
  • Do prices go up? Most communities raise prices once a year. Ask how much the last increase was and how much notice they give.
  • Can Medi-Cal pay? Some assisted living communities take the Assisted Living Waiver. Ask Dale Commons whether they do and if there’s a waiting list.

Rating & safety How to read thisThese are the state’s own categories. Type A: problems that, if not corrected, put residents’ health, safety or rights at direct and immediate risk. Type B: problems that could become a risk without correction, or record-keeping problems that affect care. Both must be corrected. Complaints the state didn’t confirm are shown but never counted against the community.

I can’t say enough great things about the Carie in concierge and Selene in activities. The concierge is always kind, attentive, and incredibly helpful. The activities assistant brings so much joy and enthusiasm to every event — you can tell they genuinely care. Together, they create such a warm and inviting environment. We’re so grateful for everything they do!

Although I didn’t have any family members living at Dale Commons, I worked with them through an outside agency and we shared several mutual residents. Through that experience, I got to see firsthand how the staff treats the people in their care. The team was always kind, responsive, and truly seemed to care about the residents’ well-being. Anytime we needed to coordinate care or communicate…
